Property Market Remains Fluid.

September 17, 2009

It’s been the theme of this blog since the beginning of the summer. We are still experiencing one of our best periods of chalet and apartment sales for a long time (probably 4 years). But the number of chalets we have for sale still continues to rise (228 today, up from 200 in April). Over the last 6 weeks we have taken on 20 properties. They are easily listed by clicking on the “new additions” link on our front page. I’ll save you the trouble.

the latest apartments, chalets, land and renovation projects for sale with Alpine Property

And as the properties have come in we have taken about 15 off the website. 10 of these have been because we have sold them. So the factors encouraging people to but continue, there are more properties to choose from and because of the competition to sell the owners are willing to sell at a more reasonable price than previously.

Here are a few examples at the extremes of the listing.

Le Tour comes to Morzine

September 11, 2009

At this time of year the Tour organisers always leak tit bits of information about the following years Tour de France. This is in anticipation of the release of the final route on October the 14th.

A few days ago they leaked that Morzine can expect to see Le Tour on July 11th and that the following day would be a rest day. This is great news for Morzine, Le Tour last past through here in 2006 (and previously he in 2003 and 2000, click here for further information) there have been rumours that the arrival stage might involve some sort of time trial like in Annecy this year. We will have to wait in anticipation)

Further information can be found on the Dauphine website.

Name those riders.
